NCPI+ was formed on the principle that, long experience and expertise must contribute constructively and meaningfully in the policy and programme decisions to bring positive changes. The organization works with the aim to increase active, transparent and constructive participation of PLHIV and health activist to strengthen care, support and treatment response of the country and improve the quality of life of individuals and families. The organization upholds to organize various events across the various states of the country. NCPI+ was evolved from a 2 (two) Day National Consultation with an involvement PLHIV representatives from 26 (twenty-six) States including 5 (five) founder members of the PLHIV movement in India. The Governing Executive Board consist of 9 (nine) Executive Board Members from 6 (six) regions i.e. East, Northeast, South, North, West and Central across the country.
Koshish a European Commission-funded programme, strengthens civil society organizations and networks- specifically those representing and working with PLHIV and other marginalized groups like MSM, transgender, sex workers, and people who use drugs-to effectively advocate for policies and strategies on sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and rights for PLHIV in India.
This training is the product of collective efforts by a team of HIV/AIDS technical specialist and persons involved in HIV/AIDS program from last many years from the Network of Maharashtra By people with HIV, ART centers, NARI, and DAPCU.
